Bill Ostovich--1977 Can Am. Bill bought it on New Year's Eve in 1979. The after-market American wheels have been on since 1983.

Bill Ostovich--I used to bracket race the car in the mid eighties. It ran a best of 14.80 seconds. It was a great bracket car, running very consistent ETs.

Bill Ostovich--it has a stock drive train (400CID) but dual exhaust was added. Jim Wangers' own company took these Lemans Sports and added the striping, customized the hood, and added the "ducktail" spolier.

Bill Ostovich--it has a firethorn red interior with a column shift.

Bill Ostovich--Nowadays, it is used mainly to go to local cruise nights. It still makes it to the dragstrip occasionally though.

Bill Ostovich--5,000 were slated to be built and customized by Wangers, but the die broke for the ducktail spolier so they stopped production at only (estimates vary) 1,200+!
